Terms & Conditions

By registering as a tutor with Best Potential Tuition Agency, or accepting a tuition assignment from Best Potential Tuition Agency, you accept the Terms and Conditions listed below with regards to the tuition matching service provided. The engagement is formalized when a confirmation note has been sent to you via WhatsApp/Email.

Age and Qualifications

All tutors are required to provide accurate information on academic certifications and personal particulars. Tutors registered must be 16 years old and above and have the academic qualifications stated in the Tutor Registration Form. Clients reserve the right to request for these certifications to be presented for verification at any point of time.

General Terms for Lesson Conduct

All tutors should conduct themselves appropriately in a professional and ethical manner. If the conduct of the tutor is deemed as unsatisfactory, immediate action will be taken to terminate current and future assignments

  • Be punctual for the lessons. Tutors are expected to be aware and agreeable to the full address / location of the lessons, and have done the necessary considerations such as transport planning before accepting an assignment.
  • Be well-groomed and maintain good personal hygiene
  • Deliver lessons according to subject syllabus
  • Minimise the use of mobile phone unless for emergency purpose
  • Keep to agreed rates and duration of lesson.
  • Keep to the agreed timings. If a change in timing of lesson is required, please inform the client at least 24 hours in advance. If a tutor needs to cancel the lesson due to a sudden sickness, an MC may be requested from the client for accountability purposes.
  • Be polite and respectful to the students or parents and prohibited from any physical or verbal abuse to students or parents. This will not be tolerated in any instances.
  • Commit to the assignment on a long term basis unless it is stated as a short term assignment (less than 3 months).
  • Make known any terms of cancellation known to the client after the first lesson to reduce any future last minute lesson cancellation from the client.

Payment of Commission

Best Potential Tuition Agency collects a one-time commission of the two lesson fees from its tutors. Subsequent lesson fees, from lesson three onwards, would be collected by the tutor and the tutor can make payment arrangements directly with the client.

  • For short-term assignments that are less than three months duration, a commission of one lesson fee will be collected. Best Potential Tuition Agency will state in the assignment details whether the assignment is a Short-Term Assignment. Any assignment which is not stated as a Short-Term Assignment by us is deemed to be a Long-Term Assignment by default
  • In the case of any discontinuations after the first trial lesson, Best Potential Tuition Agency will collect the first lesson fee from the client and the tutor will receive 75% of the first lesson fee. If a tutor decides not to continue after the first lesson and the reason is deemed valid and legitimate to the agency and not due to the tutor’s performance or conduct, the tutor may still be entitled to 75% of the first lesson fee.
  • In the case of a client requesting for a cancellation of the assignment within the first four weeks, for reasons not due to the tutor’s performance or conduct, the tutor may still be entitled to 75% of the first two lessons fee.

Any breach of these terms without a valid reason will result in a permanent mark on our records, and if necessary, a complete blacklist from all of Best Potential Tuition agency’s platforms.
